Headaches and migraines

Headache is a widespread disease affecting around 52% of the world’s population.

The most common headache diagnoses are tension headaches and migraines.

Tension-type headache is the most common type of headache among both children and adults. They can feel like a tightening band across the forehead, the scalp or like a weight from above. The pain can also be in the neck, jaw or temples. 1/10 people with tension headaches also have migraines.

Migraine is a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent attacks of severe headache, often combined with several other symptoms such as nausea and sensitivity to sound and light. It affects 1 in 5 women, 1 in 16 men, 1 in 11 children and 1 in 4 households.

With a combination of non-drug measures, proper seizure management and preventive drug therapy, most people can get relief from their headaches.

We investigate and treat tension headaches, migraines, cluster headaches, cervicogenic headaches and other more rare headache diagnoses.

All modern and advanced treatments including non-drug methods, emergency and preventive medicines, nerve blocks, Botulinum toxin and new migraine shots (a-CGRP antibodies) are applied at our clinic.
