Migraine is one of Sweden’s most common, yet most undertreated, diseases. In a new article, our neurologist Gürdal Sahin highlights the importance of ensuring that more patients have access to the right diagnosis and individualized treatment.

Although almost 1.5 million Swedes suffer from migraine, the disease is under-diagnosed and many miss out on effective treatments that could significantly improve their quality of life. Sahin emphasizes the importance of self-care and regular habits as part of treatment, but also highlights the need for national coordination of migraine care to create more equal care in Sweden.
